Vikas Bhatara, MD

Dr. Vikas Bhatara is a board-certified Pulmonology and Critical Care physician who serves as a Vista Physician Group pulmonologist providing outpatient pulmonary care. He is dedicated to helping patients improve their breathing, lung health, and overall quality of life through thorough evaluation, clear communication, and personalized treatment plans. Dr. Bhatara completed his medical education at the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and advanced fellowship training in Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine in the United States. His extensive clinical background includes caring for patients with a wide range of respiratory conditions, allowing him to support both routine and complex pulmonary needs. In his outpatient role with Vista Physician Group, Dr. Bhatara evaluates and treats conditions such as asthma, COPD, chronic cough, shortness of breath, interstitial lung disease, and pulmonary complications related to lung cancer. He takes a collaborative, patient-centered approach—listening carefully to patient concerns and partnering with them to develop care plans that align with their health goals and daily lives. In addition to his outpatient pulmonary practice, Dr. Bhatara also supports hospital-based Critical Care and ICU services on a PRN basis, helping ensure continuity of care for patients transitioning from inpatient to outpatient follow-up. He works closely with primary care providers and specialists to provide coordinated, high-quality care.
